Footballer seen at poker table during night out in west London.
Frank Lampard was recently spotted enjoying a quiet game of poker on a night out in west London. The Chelsea and England midfielder headed to exclusive Chelsea nightspot Raffles to try his luck at the card game, according to the Hertfordshire Mercury's lifestyle columnist Yasmin Khan.
Although his team-mate Ashley Cole recently made the headlines for causing a disturbance outside a London nightclub, Lampard seemed content to keep a low profile at the poker table.
"Rather than dance along to Lady Gaga and Poker Face, he preferred just to play poker, which Raffles has a licence for," Ms Khan explained.
"A little birdie told me that upstairs you can see the high rollers often playing £7,000 hands."
Lampard's apparent interest in poker could suggest a lucrative post-football career for the 30-year-old. Former sports stars such as Teddy Sheringham and Shane Warne have recently gone on to success at the poker table.
