Football club agrees major new sponsorship deal with online bookmaker.
Sportingbet.com has confirmed details of a new sponsorship deal with Wolverhampton Wanderers.Starting in June, the online sports betting firm will have its brand displayed on the Championship side's home and away shirts, as well as sponsoring its website and enjoying a major presence at the club's Molineux stadium.
According to sportingbet.com, the seven-figure contract represents the biggest sponsorship deal in Wolves' history.
Andy McIver, chief executive of Sportingbet.com, described the agreement as "the basis of a great partnership".
"Football is the bedrock of our business and we look forward to working closely together," he added.
The firm deals with more than 42 million football wagers each year, with the sport accounting for 65 per cent of its total sports betting revenue.
Wolves currently top the Championship table and face second-placed Birmingham City at St Andrews tonight (April 6th).
