Sports Betting: Ukraine To Keep England Out?

Rooney to score again for England?

New sports betting markets on England's clash with Ukraine.

Bookmakers have reduced their odds on England failing to score in their World Cup qualifying match with Ukraine on Wednesday night (April 1st).

With several of Fabio Capello's strikers picking up injuries in Saturday's 4-0 win over Slovakia, William Hill has cut its price on England drawing a blank against Ukraine from 5/1 to 9/2.

Capello has been boosted by Peter Crouch's return to fitness in training this week, but Emile Heskey and Carlton Cole are both unavailable after the Slovakia game.

William Hill is offering 5/4 on Crouch finding the net on Wednesday, while Wayne Rooney is 6/5 to score.

The Manchester United striker hit two goals at Wembley on Saturday, with Heskey and Frank Lampard also on target for the home side.

Punters expecting Andrei Shevchenko to erase the memories of his underwhelming spell at Chelsea by scoring against England can get odds of 11/4.

Ladbrokes is offering 10/3 on the match at Wembley being the highest-scoring of all Wednesday's fixtures involving the home nations.
