Nolan Sisters hit reprised for STV's online bingo promotion.
Scottish Television (STV) is set to promote its new gaming service bingomood.com with a "quirky" TV advertising campaign.According to advertising news source The Drum, the campaign features 20 and 40-second clips of people in an aerobics class performing a version of the Nolan Sisters' 1979 hit I'm in the Mood for Dancing.
The words of the song have been changed to 'I'm in the mood for bingo', with STV hoping to attract more players for its online bingo offering.
"Online growth is a big priority for us in 2009 and bingomood.com is our latest exciting venture," Alistair Brown, head of new media at STV, told The Drum.
He added: "These creative new ads capture the fun, social aspect of playing bingo online."
The advertising campaign was created by The Union and produced by STV Creative.
STV is currently offering people who sign up to bingomood.com a free play of £15.
