Major jackpot for reluctant slots player at Reno gambling venue.
A reluctant gambler was talked into visiting her local casino and walked out with the second biggest slots jackpot in the history of the US gaming industry.Rachael Renee Romanick, a 38-year-old mother of four from Reno, won $33 million (£22.75 million) on a progressive slot machine at Terrible's Rail City Casino in Sparks, Nevada.
A delighted Ms Romanick explained afterwards that she had initially planned a quiet night in before scooping the jackpot.

She said: "I really owe it to my friend. I wanted to stay home but he wanted to gamble and convinced me to join him.
"I had to ask someone if this was for real. I kind of froze because this was so unexpected."
Ms Romanick had been playing on the IGT Megabucks machine for about ten minutes when she struck lucky.
According to the Daily Mirror, the largest slots jackpot on record is a £26.8 million payout won in 2003 at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
