Horoscope prediction comes true after bingo jackpot at Birmingham venue.

A woman from the West Midlands was thanking her lucky stars after hitting the jackpot at her local bingo hall last week.

Redditch resident Eunice Smith won over £30,000 when her numbers came up on the High 5 game at Gala Bingo in Birmingham, the Redditch Advertiser reports.

The delighted 76-year-old told the newspaper that she had a feeling a major jackpot was on its way before the game, as her horoscope reading had predicted a windfall earlier that day.

"When I arrived at the club I said to my friends: 'I'm going to win High 5 today because my stars say I'm going to be cash rich'," Ms Smith explained.

"I feel wonderful … I've been playing bingo for many years but I've never won as much as this," she added.

Gala Bingo employee Adam Mohammed said that the whole club "erupted" when Ms Smith claimed her prize.

In March 2008, Scottish cleaner Soraya Lowell claimed the biggest ever bingo jackpot when she won over £1.1 million at her local club in Coatbridge.
