Empire casino in London to host this year's WSOPE in September.
Lucy Sharp, the new public relations manager at London Clubs International (LCI), has spoken of her mission to enhance the image of the company's casinos.Ms Sharp, who joined the casino operator after working as PR manager at the Trafford Centre shopping mall in Manchester, said that she is particularly excited about working with LCI on the upcoming World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) event, how-do.co.uk reports.
She told the website: "I cannot wait to get to grips with all the exciting projects, including the 2009 launch of the World Series of Poker Europe, which is also owned by Harrah's, and more specifically change the public perception of casinos in the UK.
"I also seem to have developed a major penchant for poker."
Ms Sharp's interest in the card game should come in handy for the 2009 WSOPE, which takes place from September 17th to October 1st at the Empire Casino in London, one of LCI's five gaming venues in the capital.
Sponsored by Betfair Poker, the WSOPE will feature four tournaments at which bracelets are up for grabs, including a five-day £10,000 buy-in main event.
