Sports betting firms offer new bets on managerial vacancies in Scotland and England.
With the Premier League season now over, rumours over new managerial appointments are already filling the newspaper sports pages.Despite only securing promotion to the top flight with Burnley on Monday (May 25th), Owen Coyle has been strongly linked with the manager's job at Celtic following Gordon Strachan's resignation.
Although Coyle attempted to distance himself from the rumours on Tuesday, sports betting firms have seen plenty of money on the Scotsman leaving Lancashire for Glasgow.
"Coyle has gone from 4/1 to 4/6 during the course of the day as we have taken a steady series of £200 bets from all over the UK," revealed William Hill spokesperson Graham Sharpe.
With Coyle now the favourite for the Celtic job, Tony Mowbray can be backed at 6/4 and Motherwell boss Mark McGhee said to be Strachan's recommendation for his successor is a 5/1 bet with William Hill.
Meanwhile, Sky Bet reported that Steve Bruce was backed down from 11/8 to 8/13 to take over as Sunderland manager on Tuesday, while Strachan is available at 2/1 to take over at the Stadium of Light.
