England's bid to stage the World Cup in 2018 or 2022 has created significant interest in sports betting markets.The England bid team held a launch party at Wembley Stadium on Monday (May 18th), with David Beckham drafted in to promote the project and Gordon Brown confirming the government's commitment to the bid.
As a result, Sky Bet makes England its current favourite to host the 2018 World Cup at 11/10, while Australia is available at 4/1 and the joint bid from Spain and Portugal can be backed at 8/1.
