Mecca club in Wrexham unveils new promotion

North Wales bingo hall wants to see mother and daughter bingo teams.

A north Wales bingo venue has organised a special event encouraging mothers to take their daughters to play the numbers game, or vice versa.

Mecca Bingo in Wrexham will offer a two-for-one promotion on bingo games for mother and daughter duos on Wednesday (May 20th), meaning that one of them will enjoy an evening of free bingo.

Bryan Tyrrell, general manager at the club, said that the offer was a reflection of the venue's family-friendly atmosphere, the Evening Leader reports.

He told the newspaper: "We know that lots of members of the same family and even generations of the same family all come along to our club.

"We wanted to recognise that special relationship between a mother and her daughter, so what better way to do it than treat one of them to an evening out."

The club is also encouraging new members to join in with the mother-daughter promotion.

Earlier this week, Rank Group announced that Simon Wykes has left his position as Mecca Bingo's managing director.
