Bond Casino Night To Raise Funds For South America Trip

Casino evening set to raise money for trip to Ecuador and Galapagos Islands.

A sixth form college in Essex is using casino culture to raise money for a South American adventure.

Students from Helena Romanes in Great Dunmow are hosting a James Bond-themed casino night to help fund their upcoming trek across Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, the Dunmow Broadcast reports.

In order to create the necessary mood, an Aston Martin DB9 has been hired for the occasion and visitors will be invited to try all of the fictional super spy's favourite casino games.

According to the newspaper, the event on June 5th will include "plenty of games to challenge even the most experienced casino user".

However, blackjack and poker novices should also find plenty to enjoy, according to trip leader Kimberly Cross.

"No one should worry as the rules will be fully explained on the evening. The students are already really excited about this unique event and are looking forward to seeing everyone there," she told the publication.

Bond was last seen in a gambling venue in the 2006 movie Casino Royale, when he took part in a high-stakes poker game with arch-villain Le Chiffre.
