The schedule for the 2009 World Poker Tour: Season 8 has been released.
Season 8 will include a total of twelve tournaments, with a new stop at the Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, Indiana for the 'Hollywood Poker Open'.
The first stop on the WPT Season 8 circuit is the 'Bellagion Cup V' at the Bellagio casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The poker tournament will begin on July 13th – just two days before the World Series of Poker Main Event final table will be determined. This means that there will be plenty of poker going on to keep us all entertained during the 100 day sabbatical between the final table being determined, and play resuming for the televised finals of the WSOP Main Event.
The “Hollywood Poker Open” will be the first ever World Poker Tour event held in the Midwest. The Hollywood Casino is a Riverboat casino, and as such, another first will be set – as this tournament will be the first ever WPT tournament to be hosted in a riverboat.
