New online poker sites have been launched in the Balkans.
Online gaming group 888 Holdings has reached an agreement with Cyprus-based LoperGate Ltd which will see the two parties launch gaming operations in the Balkans.Under the new agreement, 888's independent business-to-business arm, Dragonfish, is to work alongside the private company to launch a number of new gaming sites across the region.
These will include casino848.com, poker848.com and play848.com, with the sites to be powered by Dragonfish's Total Gaming Solutions, which is already behind some of the most popular gaming destinations on the web.
It is expected that LoperGate will be charged with marketing the new brands within the Balkans, with the Wall Street Journal reporting that a 1.5 million advertising campaign is planned for the next few months.
Meanwhile, Europe's poker scene has been given a further boost with the news that Doyle Brunson will be attending the World Series of Poker Europe event in London in September.
