David Bach, a 37 year old poker pro from Georgia has bested a field of 93 other players to win the World Series of Poker HORSE tournament.

Bach defeated John Hanson; a 44 year old poker player from New York, in heads-up play to take the $1.28 million in prize money after a marathon poker session.

Heads-up play lasted for around seven hours, including breaks, with the chip total swinging back and forth between the two poker players. Heads-up play began thirteen hours into the poker tournament.   Hanson took home $789,199 for his second place finish. Last year, Hanson took home $852,000 for the same placed finish in this tournament.

The tournament, which has a $50,00 buy-in, is a test of all-round poker ability, as it rotates through five different games.
