Gala TV set to sponsor lauch of autobiography by first Big Brother winner
Gala Bingo has announced that its online and satellite television channel will be sponsoring the official launch of Craig Phillips' autobiography this week.The Liverpudlian builder shot to fame after winning the inaugural series of Big Brother in 2000 and went on to release a Christmas single, as well as appearing in a number of DIY shows on various channels.
Phillips is due to launch his book, entitled My Story: Building Beyond Big Brother, at a hotel in Liverpool on Thursday (July 23nd) and Gala TV has agreed to sponsor the event.
The reality TV star recently appeared in a special Gala TV bingo show based on Big Brother.
"Given our Big Brother-themed show and how popular Craig was with our viewers when he appeared, it seemed a natural progression to support the launch of his autobiography," explained Paul Tremain, director of programmes at Gala TV.
Celebrity guests such as Ricky Tomlinson, Johnny Vegas, Ryan Giggs, Frankie Dettori and Chesney Hawkes are due to attend the launch.
According to a recent chart in the Times, Phillips is the eighth richest reality TV star in the UK, with a personal fortune of approximately £5 million.
