NetPlay TV confirms deal with STV for live and interactive casino project.
British gaming firm NetPlay TV has revealed details of its plan to launch a live and interactive casino service on STV.The company has signed a distribution deal with STV Group to broadcast live on the channel's late-night schedule from Thursday to Saturday, starting next month.
Guy Templer, new business development director at NetPlay TV, described the deal as "a major milestone for UK broadcasting".
Chief executive Martin Higginson added: "NetPlayTV is uniquely positioned to offer terrestrial broadcasters sustainable, fully regulated, revenue-generating programming.
"We believe demand from broadcasters for these services will increase significantly over the coming months."
NetPlay's existing gaming services on portals such as challengejackpot.com allow viewers to interact by placing cash bets on a live roulette wheel or blackjack table operated by a real croupier.
STV is central Scotland's ITV franchise and reaches over four million viewers each month, making it the largest commercial broadcaster in the country.
