Russian wins over £33,000 in major poker tournament at Prague casino.
Vladislav Shuravin walked away with over 39,000 (£33,400) after winning the latest European Masters of Poker event in Prague.Taking his place in a field of 163 players at the Czech capital's Spearmint Casino, the Russian poker ace came out on top after the final five players agreed on a deal which allocated payouts according to the size of their chip stacks.
After entering the final table with 239,000 chips, Shuravin pocketed 39,675 in first place, while Petr Pesko of the Czech Republic went home with 29,819 for second.
The final table also included Reuven Dayan, winner of the recent European Masters of Poker leg in Bulgaria, who finished in sixth place to win 10,300.
Next up for the European Masters is a stop in Barcelona from July 29th to August 1st, when an anticipated field of 500 is expected to create a prize pool of about 500,000.
The fifth and final event then takes place in Vittoriosa, Malta from September 23rd to 26th.
