Vladislav Shuravin walked away with over €39,000 (£33,400) after winning the latest European Masters of Poker event in Prague.

Taking his place in a field of 163 players at the Czech capital's Spearmint Casino, the Russian poker ace came out on top after the final five players agreed on a deal which allocated payouts according to the size of their chip stacks.

After entering the final table with 239,000 chips, Shuravin pocketed €39,675 in first place, while Petr Pesko of the Czech Republic went home with €29,819 for second.

The final table also included Reuven Dayan, winner of the recent European Masters of Poker leg in Bulgaria, who finished in sixth place to win €10,300.

Next up for the European Masters is a stop in Barcelona from July 29th to August 1st, when an anticipated field of 500 is expected to create a prize pool of about €500,000.

The fifth and final event then takes place in Vittoriosa, Malta from September 23rd to 26th.
