With French striker Karim Benzema becoming the latest high-profile player to join Real Madrid this week, sports betting firms are pricing up new markets on the Spanish giants.Sky Bet has a number of Real Madrid specials, including a market on how many goals the team of new 'galacticos' will score in the Spanish league next season.
Madrid managed 86 goals in their domestic campaign last year and the bookmaker is offering 2/1 that they fail to improve on that number in 2008-09, while punters can get odds of 9/4 on them scoring over 100.
Meanwhile, Benzema is a 7/1 bet to be the top goalscorer in Spain next season, with Cristiano Ronaldo, another of Madrid's summer signings, priced at 6/1.
Benzema scored 23 goals in all competitions for Lyon last season and has agreed a six-year deal with Madrid.
The Spanish club have paid £30 million for his services, although the fee could reach £35 million depending on performance-related terms.
