Three-day Texas hold'em main event tops the bill of poker tournaments at Paddy Power's Irish Winter Festival.
Poker players from around the world are set to descend on Dublin in October for the Irish Winter Festival, organised by paddypowerpoker.com.Taking place at the Irish capital's Citywest Hotel once again, the festival is headlined by the three-day no-limit Texas hold'em main event, which comes with a buy-in of 1,500 (£1,285) + 150.
The action is set to take place from October 23rd to 26th, with an estimated total prize pool of 1 million on offer.
"Many players have already made plans to get to Dublin for the October Bank Holiday weekend, so we're happy to be able to release full details on the festival schedule," said Eric Booth, head of poker at Paddy Power.
"We've done our best to make the Irish Winter Festival a 'must-attend' festival for both local and international players," he added.
Another feature of the Irish Winter Festival will be the Sole Survivor promotion, which awards a prize of 20,000 to the online qualifier who lasts the longest in the main event.
The Citywest Hotel also hosted the 2009 Irish Open in April, when Sweden's Christer Johansson outlasted a field of 700 to win the first prize of 600,000.
