Latest leg of the Coral British Masters Poker Tour saw 82 players compete for the top prize.
Southampton's Chris Brammer got the better of a high-quality final table to win the latest leg of the Coral British Masters Poker Tour (CBMPT) on Sunday (August 16th).Despite a small-than-expected field of 82 players, the event at Nottingham's Gala Casino still provided several hours of thrilling poker action before Brammer claimed the £14,000 first prize.
According to pokernews.com, the final table could be viewed as "a who's who of up-and-coming UK talent", with Brammer taking his place alongside players such as Neil Blatchly, Matt Perrins and Sam Trickett.
Blatchly won the Bristol leg of the Gala Casino British Poker Tour last year, while Perrins recently took down the Italian Poker Tour event in Venice and Trickett triumphed in the inaugural London Poker Circuit main event earlier this year.
However, it was Brammer who came out on top in Nottingham at the weekend after a brief heads-up encounter with Jonathan Butters, who went home with £9,000 for second place.
The next leg of the CBMPT takes place at Leo's Casino in Liverpool from September 18th to 20th.
