Casino critcised by Swedish poker player over its demanding table dealers.
The marketing boss at a casino in the Danish capital has hit back at claims that table dealers at the venue are too aggressive in seeking tips from poker players.Swedish poker pro Micke Norinder recently caused controversy by claiming that Casino Copenhagen, which usually hosts the Danish leg of the European Poker Tour (EPT), has notoriously demanding staff.
According to Bluff Europe, Norinder related a story of how his friend was escorted from the gaming floor by security guards after winning a large sum playing roulette to ensure that the dealers would receive substantial tips.
However, the casino's marketing chief Erik Jensen has denied the claims, describing Norinder's account as "a pure lie".
In an interview with Danish newspaper Ekstrabladet cited by Bluff, Mr Jensen said: "We simply could not operate that way. We would never tolerate that kind of behaviour.
"We would go out of business if we paid big salaries, so the staff must collect tips."
The last EPT Copenhagen took place in February, when Finland's Jens Kyllonen won the 878,057 (£758,598) first prize.
