Love blossomed after couple took part in a game of bingo two years ago.
A couple will marry in Milton Keynes this week, two years after they first met during a game of bingo.Ron Simms and Pat Bongailas have been inseparable since that fateful bingo session at Emerson Valley's Hungerford housing scheme in Milton Keynes.
Now, at the age of 75 and 72 respectively, the two numbers game fans are set to tie the knot in a ceremony at the Bletchley Register Office, the Milton Keynes Citizen reports.
Recalling the moment he proposed to Ms Bongailas, Mr Simms told the newspaper: "I got down on two knees instead of one knee because Pat is twice as special. Everyone applauded when Pat said yes."
Warden of the Hungerford scheme Nora Gibbard added: "They are a wonderful couple and it's been lovely to watch the romance blossom."
The couple, who also share an interest in playing darts and taking day trips as well as bingo, are set to visit Felixstowe on the Suffolk coast for their honeymoon.
Last year, Kerry Dunston and Ben Austin, both 32, got engaged after meeting during an online bingo game provided by the Sun newspaper.
