Nottingham bingo venue has been deemed a success after opening in May.
The success of the new Mecca Bingo club in Nottingham should see more of the chain's venues offering its updated version of the numbers game.Mecca's £5 million venue in the Beeston area of Nottingham differs from traditional bingo halls by placing more emphasis on food service and all-round entertainment.
The club opened earlier this year and has proved an instant success with the city's numbers game fans, despite challenging economic conditions.
Ian Burke, chief executive of Mecca's owner Rank Group, told thisisbusiness-eastmidlands.co.uk that other Mecca venues are set to follow Beeston's example.
"We plan to re-model two more clubs in the second half of the year which will open in the first half of next year," he revealed.
"Depending on their performance, we will roll out the idea to more of our existing 103 clubs across the country."
About 200 people were evacuated from the Beeston club during an afternoon bingo session last month after rainwater began leaking through the roof.
