Bricknell takes home £2,580 after outlasting field of 71 players at Stockport casino.
Birmingham's Michelle Bricknell became the latest champion on the Betfred Ladies Poker Tour by capturing a recent event in Stockport.Outlasting a field of 71 poker players at Casino36 on August 8th, the 36-year-old picked up the first prize of £2,580 as well as booking a seat at the grand final, which gets underway in November.
Shelly Postchild took second place in Stockport to win £1,720 after losing heads-up to Bricknell, with Monica Martinson claiming £1,290 for third and Lorraine Barrass leaving with £860 in fourth.
The next leg of the Betfred Ladies Poker Tour takes place at the Broadway Casino in Birmingham on September 5th, before heading to the Costa del Sol for a special event in October.
Caesars Poker Club in Calahonda, near Marbella, hosts the Spanish leg of the tour on October 3rd.
The Betfred Ladies Poker Tour has now been running for three years, with Lynne Beaumont winning the title in 2007 and 2008.
