Sports betting firms take wagers on Wilshere being selected for England's World Cup squad.
Jack Wilshere has become the subject of new sports betting markets after showing outstanding form during Arsenal's pre-season schedule.The 17-year-old midfielder scored twice for the north London side against Rangers on Sunday (August 2nd) and is now expected to be included in Stuart Pearce's England Under-21 squad later this week.
Wilshere's performances have already drawn comparisons with players such as Paul Gascoigne, while his Arsenal team-mate Tomas Rosicky recently described him as "an exciting prospect for all English football".
Looking ahead, Sky Bet is offering 4/1 on Wilshere making the full England squad for the World Cup in South Africa next summer.
The Stevenage-born teenager is also 3/1 to feature in Arsenal's starting line-up for their opening Premier League fixture against Everton later this month.
