A third bingo event will help to generate funds for breast cancer screening services.
An Essex woman is using the popularity of bingo to raise money for breast cancer sufferers in the region.Della Hancock was diagnosed with the condition three years ago and now dedicates her time to generating money to help fellow sufferers, the Essex Echo reports.
Her latest venture is a bingo evening - the third time she has organised such an event - taking place at the Civic Hall in Grays on Friday September 11th.
"I was treated privately when I had breast cancer, but wanted to do something for a charity. I've not looked back, I'm doing fine and enjoy life," Ms Hancock told the newspaper.
The bingo night will raise money for the Lady McAdden breast screening unit in Westcliff-on-Sea near Southend.
Ms Hancock explained to the publication that she also plans to open a charity shop in nearby Corringham to further boost her fundraising activity.
Meanwhile, residents of the Cullompton in Devon are set to hold a bingo session to raise money for the town's Christmas lights next week, the Mid Devon Star reports.
