Milton Keynes casino developer launches fresh bid for planning permission

The Xscape casino project is still on the cards in Milton Keynes.

A planning application for the construction of a casino in the south-east of England is to be submitted for the final time by developers.

Milton Keynes' Xscape will resubmit proposals for the casino at a special development control committee in the hope that they will receive the green light, reports MK News.

The company plans to build the gambling facility in the Xscape car park and had initially received permission before the council reversed its original judgement following objections.

However, chief executive PY Gerbeau is planning to make another attempt and told the publication that this will be his final effort, arguing that the firm is bringing quality retailers and amenities to the area.

According to Linda Inoki, a spokesperson for the pressure group Xplain, which is opposing the application, the multi-million pound development will ruin the city's skyline.

Xscape describes itself as "the ultimate entertainment destination" boasting an unrivalled combination of extreme sports and other leisure activities.
