Sports betting firms make the Hull boss second favourite for the Premier League's next managerial exit.
Bookmakers have cut their odds on manager Phil Brown leaving Hull City following his side's latest defeat.Hull were beaten 4-0 at home in a Carling Cup clash with Everton on Wednesday (September 23rd), increasing the pressure on Brown after last weekend's 1-0 defeat to Birmingham City in the Premier League.
William Hill slashed its odds on the Hull boss becoming the next top-flight manager to leave his job from 7/2 to 13/8 this week.
"Hull fans are clearly not best pleased with their current form, although they will obviously be aware that Brown is the man who took them to their current heady heights," said Graham Sharpe, a spokesperson for the sports betting firm.
Brown is now second favourite in the managerial sack race at William Hill, with Portsmouth boss Paul Hart the favourite at 6/4.
Hull have taken four points from their opening six games and face a difficult match at Liverpool on Saturday, while Portsmouth entertain Everton in the early kick-off.
