A new survey has revealed the UK's luckiest hotspots for bingo players.
Residents of Harrogate live in the UK's luckiest town, according to new research from Gala Bingo. The numbers game operator revealed that Harrogate, the North Yorkshire town famous for its spa water and tearooms, has the highest average win per bingo player in the country.
Exeter is currently second in the luckiest town stakes, with Dudley, Cleveland and Norwich also featuring in Gala Bingo's top five.
"It was really interesting to discover Harrogate is the UK's luckiest town," said Lesely Hall, the bingo firm's online PR manager.
"Who knows what makes the town so lucky, but perhaps it is the magical properties in the water?"
Meanwhile, a regional analysis of bingo wins showed that the north-east is currently the most fortunate area for numbers game players, with Wales second and Northern Ireland third.
People planning a move to Harrogate to boost their bingo chances may need to find an alternative method of raising some cash first, as the town's average house price was £262,066 in June this year, according to Land Registry figures.
