Buckingham Bingo is supporting the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity with a variety of events.
A woman from Liverpool donated part of her prize to charity after winning over £50,000 playing bingo.The unidentified player scooped the jackpot at the Buckingham Bingo venue in Bootle recently and has already earmarked £2,000 for charitable causes, according to the bingo operator.
She is set to give half of that money to the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation and the other £1,000 will be donated to the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity.
Buckingham Bingo recently formed a partnership with Breakthrough Breast Cancer and is aiming to generate at least £20,000 for the organisation this year.
Several fundraising events have been taking place at Buckingham Bingo venues as part of the scheme, with staff at the Bradford club selling confectionary from a pink chocolate fountain.
In August, employees at Buckingham Bingo's Huyton venue organised a special pink tea party that raised over £600 for the charity.
Buckingham Bingo operates nine numbers game venues in the north-west, as well as clubs in Corby and County Durham.
