Cancer Research UK fundraisers will challenge people to try their luck at roulette and blackjack.
A group of fundraisers will be supporting Cancer Research UK with a casino evening in Worcestershire next week.Taking place at Heightington Village Hall on November 6th, the event will see punters given £25,000 worth of 'fantasy' chips for use at the gaming tables, the Kidderminster Shuttle reports.
Every player that manages to turn their chips into £10,000 profit on the blackjack or roulette table will receive a raffle ticket and entry to the prize draw.
"The evening should be a lot of fun and at the same time raise some vital funds for research into treatments for cancer, which, at some time or other, is likely to affect us all directly or indirectly," committee member and organiser Pam Jarvie told the newspaper.
All proceeds from the casino event will go towards the Wyre Forest branch of Cancer Research UK.
The charity was launched in 2002 and supports research in more than 35 towns throughout the country.
