A casino roulette wheel provides the focus for a new challenge from Derren Brown.
Derren Brown will attempt to win £175,000 with one spin of the roulette wheel in his Channel 4 show tonight (October 2nd).For the grand finale of his latest series, the illusionist plans to beat the odds by staking £5,000 of an unsuspecting audience member's savings on the casino game.
The roulette challenge will be the final spectacle in a series of "events" in which Brown has claimed to predict the National Lottery numbers and render viewers unable to move from their seats.

As Guardian columnist Heidi Stephens points out, the 38-year-old has a track record of using the gambling world as a platform for his televised stunts.
He once revealed how to count cards in blackjack as part of his Mind Control series and has also tried his hand at sports betting, providing viewers with a series of winning horse race tips in The System last February.
Brown is said to be banned from every casino in the country due to his unusual talents, although he was granted access to a roulette table for tonight's show, which airs at 21:00.
