Recent bingo wins show why Norwich has been named as a lucky city.
Norwich was recently named as one of the luckiest places in the UK for bingo players and the city has the prizes to prove it.This is according to the Norwich Evening News, which was responding to a survey from Gala Bingo identifying the country's luckiest bingo locations.
Harrogate was revealed to be the most fortunate place in terms of bingo jackpots, with Exeter, Dudley, Cleveland and Norwich making up the rest of the top five.
The newspaper reports that Gala Bingo's research is supported by the fact that several major numbers game prizes have been won in Norwich over the last few years.
A 58-year-old woman from Norwich scooped £62,000 on the national bingo game in June, while another resident of the Norfolk city won a £150,000 jackpot in January last year.
In addition, four players received prizes totalling £156,000 in the space of seven days at a Mecca Bingo venue in Norwich in 2007.
Other locations indentified as lucky hotspots by Gala Bingo last week include Crewe, Inverness, Motherwell, Stevenage and Portsmouth.
