Last year's EPT Warsaw event attracted over 200 poker players from around the world.
Some of the world's top poker players are in Warsaw for the latest stop on the European Poker Tour (EPT) this week.Taking place in the Polish capital for the third time this year, the tournament features a buy-in of 23,500 zlotych (£5,100) and the size of the field is capped at 400 players.
The five-day event gets underway in the casino at the Hyatt Regency Hotel today (October 20th), with a host of high-profile poker aces due to take part.
Denmark's Peter Eastgate, the reigning World Series of Poker champion, will be aiming to go one better in Warsaw after finishing second to US player Aaron Gustavson at the EPT London event earlier this month.
Other big-name players in the field include Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier, Dario Minieri, Luca Pagano and Marcin Horecki, according to the EPT website.
Portuguese player Joao Barbosa claimed his first EPT title on his 26th birthday in Warsaw last year, picking up the first prize of 367,141 (£334,411) after outlasting a field of 217 players.
