Bookmaker offers 7/1 on the Premier League title race going down to goal difference.
Bookmaker William Hill is offering 7/1 on this season's Premier League title being won on goal difference following the latest round of fixtures. With just five points currently separating the top five clubs in the table, some commentators have predicted that the 2009-10 campaign will be the most competitive in Premier League history.
Manchester United currently top the table with 22 points from Chelsea's 21, while Tottenham Hotspur have 19, Arsenal 18 and Manchester City 17, with the fourth and fifth-placed teams having played one game less than their rivals at this stage.
"It is beginning to look as though there isn't much difference between up to half a dozen clubs, so this title race could well go all the way to the bitter end," said William Hill spokesperson Graham Sharpe.
Manchester United and Chelsea are the sports betting firm's joint favourites to win the league at 7/4, with Arsenal priced at 4/1 and Manchester City available at 9/1.
Next weekend's Premier League fixtures see Manchester United travel to Liverpool, while Chelsea host Blackburn Rovers and Arsenal head to West Ham United.
