David Haye goes up against Nikolay Valuev in Germany next month

Bookmakers have seen a large number of bets on victory for David Haye.

Bookmakers have cut their odds on David Haye beating Nikolay Valuev in Germany on November 7th due to the large number of punters backing the British boxer.

Sky Bet slashed its price for a Haye victory from 7/2 to 2/1 after witnessing "overwhelming support" for the Londoner, who is nine inches shorter than his 7 ft opponent.

The bookmaker has also cut its price on a knockout win for Haye from 16/1 to 9/1 ahead of the WBA heavyweight title fight at the Nuremberg Arena.

"All the money has been on Haye to win inside the distance and for him to deliver that knockout blow to bring the giant Valuev down," commented Sky Bet's Scott Springgay.

Meanwhile, Paddy Power is offering 11/4 on Valuev outpointing Haye and 9/2 that the Russian giant wins with a knockout or TKO.

Haye, who is also about 90 lb lighter than his adversary, labelled Valuev a "circus show freak" at a news conference earlier this month.
