The software company uses behavioural analysis to identify suspicious activity on gambling portals.
A software company based in Cambridge has developed new technology to protect online gambling portals from fraudsters.Business Weekly reports that Featurespace is planning to a launch a fresh recruitment drive as the demand for its products grows among casino and betting websites.
The firm, which has its roots in the engineering department at the University of Cambridge, has already signed deals with betting exchange Betfair and King.com, the online bingo and 'skill gaming' website.
Commercial director Ken Morton told the publication that Featurespace is currently looking for talented software engineers and data analysts to work on its pioneering products.
"It is difficult to attract the most talented people under normal circumstances, but we are finding that the very best people tend to be reluctant to make a move in uncertain conditions," he commented.
The company's software behavioural analysis technology can be used to identify high-rollers and expose fraudsters.
According to Featurespace, the system is currently equipped to process up to 200 transactions per second.
