A bingo hall employee from Felixstowe is a millionaire thanks to the scratchcard mix-up.
A bingo hall worker from Suffolk won a £1 million lottery prize after being given the wrong scratchcard in her local supermarket.Having asked for a £2 card at the check-out, Audrey White was handed a £5 version instead but decided not to point out the Tesco employee's error.
The 58-year-old, who works at the Palace Bingo venue in Felixstowe, paid the extra money for her scratchcard and became a millionaire in a matter of minutes.
She told the Guardian: "I'd already won £5 on another scratchcard so I decided to have a go.
"I rubbed it off when I got home later and I just couldn't believe it - I'm still in a state of shock."
According to the newspaper, the mother of three does not intend to give up her bingo shifts and has continued to take the bus to work, despite her sudden wealth.
Palace Bingo is a Norfolk-based firm that also runs numbers game clubs in Great Yarmouth, Salford and south London.
