Rafael Benitez's future at Liverpool may be of interest to those who enjoy sports betting after comments made by William Hill.

In a statement, the online betting website explained that the odds of Benitez ending his career with the club by the end of the season currently stand at 7/1.

The site noted that Paul Hart - who has now been replaced as the manager of Portsmouth by Avram Grant - was the first person to fall in the sack race.

It is now offering odds of 15/8 that another two managers will be shown the door by their clubs before the close of the season.

Odds of 20/1 are being offered on no further managerial sackings taking place this season.

Commenting on the news, Rupert Adams, spokesman at the website, said: "The sack race is an ever popular market and so far most of the bets in the new book have been for Benitez at 7/1."ADNFCR-1691-ID-19482394-ADNFCR
