The Nevada casino city can now be reached via London Heathrow with British Airways.
The casinos of Las Vegas are set to become more accessible for UK people following the launch of a new route by British Airways (BA).Direct flights from London Heathrow to the Nevada city are now being offered by the airline on a daily basis, with chief executive Willie Walsh recently travelling on the very first BA trip to Las Vegas.
He told the Las Vegas Sun: "I'm not much of a gambler. But I'd be happy to bet with anybody that this is going to be a great route."
Daily Mail writer Mark Palmer recently visited Las Vegas to explore the US casino capital after BA announced its new flights.
As well as the obvious attractions of the glamorous gambling venues, he found the city to be full of "awe-inspiring architecture, jaw-dropping artistic talent, chic bars and some of the best food I've ever eaten".
The journalist also used his stay in Las Vegas as an opportunity to visit Boulder City, from where he took a helicopter ride around the West Rim of the Grand Canyon.
