Sale Sharks held a casino and business networking event

Classic casino games were well-recieved at a recent casino evening at Edgeley Park.

The recent Sale Sharks casino night has been hailed as a great success by the rugby club.

Over 400 people from businesses in the north-west attended the event at Edgeley Park last Wednesday (November 11th), when part of the Guinness Premiership side's home stadium was transformed into a glamorous gambling venue.

The 500 Club Casino Night was billed as a business networking opportunity, as well as a chance for people to meet members of the Sharks' first-team squad and enjoy some casino games.

Steve Hanley, manager of the Sale Sharks 500 Club, described the event as "sensational".

He added: "It was great to see so many members interacting with the Sharks squad and playing roulette, blackjack and stud poker together."

Sale players such as Ben Cohen and Neil Briggs attended the casino night, which also featured Las Vegas-style showgirls, a table magician and a big band.

Earlier this year, Warrington Wolves centre Ryan Atkins was named the best poker player in rugby league after winning the Super League Poker Challenge at a casino in Leeds.
