Lewis Hamilton remains the bookmakers' favourite for next year's F1 drivers championship.
Formula One world champion Jenson Button is now odds-on with sports betting firms to be driving for McLaren next season. The Englishman is currently involved in negotiations over a move from current team Brawn and William Hill makes him 1/2 to be a McLaren driver when F1 resumes for 2010.
According to a report in the Guardian on Monday (November 16th), Button is set to agree a three-year contract worth £6 million a year with the Woking-based team.
If he does make the switch, the 29-year-old will partner 2008 champion Lewis Hamilton in an all-British line-up for McLaren.
William Hill is already taking bets on which driver will score the most points next year, with Hamilton priced at 1/2 and Button available at 6/4.
Meanwhile, Hamilton remains the bookmakers' favourite to win next year's championship, with Betfred offering 11/4 on the Stevenage-born driver.
Fernando Alonso is second favourite at 3/1, while Button can be backed at 7/1 to defend his title.
