The bookmaker is looking to hire a new advertising agency for the build-up to the World Cup.
UK bookmaker William Hill is looking for an advertising agency to promote its services in the build-up to next year's World Cup in South Africa, according to reports. The firm's advertising account is worth an estimated £5 million and several agencies have been approached over the contract, with pitches due to take place this week.
In June, William Hill appointed consultancy firm Wolff Olins in a short-term deal to revamp its brand positioning, according to Marketing magazine.
Although it has often relied on an in-house marketing team in recent years, the sports betting operator did hire the BJL agency to create a TV campaign for its online casino service in 2008.
William Hill runs more than 2,300 licensed betting shops in the UK and Ireland and took in excess of £15 billion in stakes last year.
In September, the company predicted that over £1 billion will be gambled on the World Cup alone next year.
