Sports betting fans may be tempted to have a flutter
The X Factor final will be a huge event for gaming fans, with large amounts of money set to be spent, according to sports betting firm William Hill.In a statement, the organisation suggested that the star-studded event - which is set to feature guest appearances from a range of huge names in the world of music, including Robbie Williams, George Michael and Michael Buble - will "break all records".
Rupert Adams, spokesperson for the organisation, said that Joe McElderry - who is being mentored by Girls Aloud member Cheryl Cole - is the favourite to win the talent show at present.
William Hill is offering odds of 4/11 of him taking first place, while Stacey Solomon is in second with odds of 3/1. Olly Murs is in third place with odds of 5/1.
Mr Adams concluded: "Make no mistake, millions of pounds will be changing hands in the next week."
