Bookmakers Ladbrokes provides odds on when Capello's men will be knocked out of the competition.
Bookmakers Ladbrokes has revealed a series of England related sports betting specials ahead of next summer's World Cup in South Africa. The country is listed at 7/2 to be knocked out of the competition by the all too familiar route of a penalty shootout. However, more optimistic fans may be hoping that there is no repeat of the 2006 penalty shoot-out defeat to Portugal at the quarter-final stage.
Ladbrokes is offering odds of 7/2 for the quarter finals to again prove England's downfall.
Following their pairing with the USA, Slovenia and Algeria in Group C, the Three Lions are available at 1/20 to make it through to the knockout stages.
Capello's men are 8/1 to be knocked out after the initial three games of the tournament and 7/1 to make it to the final and suffer defeat.
US Soccer president Sunil Gulati has already commented on the pairing with England, saying that the countries are "natural rivals" with a great deal of history between them.
