The footballer turned poker ace has now won two GUKPT titles in his card-playing career.
Tony Cascarino claimed his second Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) title by winning the grand final on Sunday night (November 29th).Outlasting a field of 183 players at London's Grosvenor Victoria casino, the former footballer picked up a £168,800 payday after defeating Frenchman Antoine Arnault in heads-up play.
Cascarino said that he was delighted with the poker win, which comes after he recorded his first GUKPT victory on the Bolton leg of the tour in 2008.
In comments reported by the GUKPT blog, the former Millwall and Chelsea striker said: "Getting respect from your peers and being acknowledged for being good at whatever you do with your life means a lot to me I think I have proved myself now."
Arnault took home £107,100 for second place, while Philip Patrick finished third to pocket £71,400.
The final event of this year's GUKPT - the Champion of Champions tournament - is already underway at the G Casino in Luton, with the £100,000 main event starting on Saturday.
