At present, injured Ali Bastian - the TV actress who formerly played the role of Becca Dean in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks - is in second place, with odds of 15/8 on coming in first place in the contest.
Meanwhile, Hollyoaks actor Ricky Whittle, who plays the role of Calvin Valentine in the Chester-based show, is bringing up the rear with odds of 4/1 on taking the title of best dancer.
Commenting on the news, Rupert Adams, a spokesperson for William Hill, said: "BBC viewers are a loyal breed and our customers are convinced that they will be voting for Chris."
