Sports betting fans may be tempted to bet on Megson leaving

Bolton Wanderers manager Gary Megson is now the favourite to be the next Premier League boss to leave his squad, according to figures from sports betting company William Hill.

In a statement, the organisation stated that it is offering odds of 11/10 on Megson leaving his club before any other manager.

This has pushed Phil Brown of Hull City into second place, with the company offering odds of 11/4 on him departing.

West Ham United's Gianfranco Zola is in third position, with odds of 13/2 on him being the next manager to go.

Commenting, Graham Sharpe, spokesperson for William Hill, said that Megson has been "under pressure" even when Bolton had results that were "half decent".

"Now they are a fixture in the bottom three, his position is becoming less tenable by the game," the industry commentator concluded.

Bolton Wanderers are due to take on Manchester City at home on Saturday December 12th and will be looking to make up for a 2-1 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend.ADNFCR-1691-ID-19503088-ADNFCR
