Bookmakers reveals odds on who will be next in charge at Burnley

Bookmakers odds revealed for next Burnley manager.

With Owen Coyle looking almost certain to join Bolton Wanderers, bookmakers' William Hill has revealed odds on who will replace him as Burnley manager.

Former Reading manager Steve Coppell is joint 5/1 favourite for the hotseat along with Burnley first-team coach Steve Davis.

Davis previously took charge of the Clarets as caretaker manager for one game prior to the appointment of Owen Coyle and now may be the time for him to step up and take charge.

"We feel that Steve Coppell's style of play will suit brand Burnley and as a result he is our joint favourite to take over at Burnley," said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.

Others in the running for the post are Darren Ferguson listed at 6/1, Manchester United assistant manager Mike Phelan 7/1, as well as Peter Reid and Alan Curbishley who are both listed at 8/1.

Burnley's next fixture is on Saturday (January 9th) at home to Stoke City.
