Sports betting fans asked which Manchester club will come out on top.
Sports betting firm William Hill has revealed odds ahead of tonight's (January 19th) Manchester derby in the first leg of the Carling Cup semi-final.An extra edge may be added to the tie with Manchester City's growing stature in the game following massive investment in the club.
The bookmakers' has offered odds of 5/2 that there will be a red card during the game and has made four to five yellow cards their favourite at 7/4.
Eight or more yellow cards is available at 8/1.
"Most of the bets in the book are for Manchester United but you can be fairly sure the match will be a bad tempered affair," said William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
United are the favourites to win the tie and are 7/2 to win both legs, with City offered at odds of 9/1 to win both fixtures.
The Red Devils will be keen to secure success in the games and prevent their local rivals claiming their first trophy since 1976.
